65. Altın Küre Ödülleri sahiplerini buldu. Oscar’dan sonra en prestijli ödüllerden biri olarak görülen Altın Küre ödülleri için bu yıl geleneksel olarak yapılanın aksine tören düzenlenmedi.
Hollywood’da senaryo yazarlarının 2 aydan uzun süredir yaptığı grev nedeniyle Altın Küre’yi kazananlar, geleneksel törenle değil, NBC televizyonu tarafından canlı yayınlanan basın toplantısında televizyon sunucuları tarafından duyuruldu.
Ödüllerin sahiplerinin açıklanması yaklaşık 30 dakika sürdü. Hiçbir oyuncu ya da yönetmen teşekkür konuşması yapmadı.
7 dalda ödüle aday gösterilen, Joe Wright’ın yönettiği “Atonement” filmi drama dalında en iyi film ödülünün sahibi olurken, komedi veya müzikal dalında en iyi film “Sweeney Todd” oldu.
Altın Küre ödüllerini kazananlar Hollywood Yabancı Basın Derneği’nin 85 kadar üyesi tarafından seçiliyor ve ödülleri kazananların çoğunlukla Oscar ödüllerini de aldıkları görülüyor.
